How to successfully verify your business on Flutterwave

Updated 23 month ago

To complete your account verification on Flutterwave, here are some specific details to guide you through the process:

  • Ensure that your bank or mobile money account name matches your business/trading name.

  • Don’t attempt to verify an unregistered account with a corporate bank account and vice versa.

  • Your BVN name must match your valid ID (for Nigerians).

  • Use the correct identity number during verification.

  • Ensure that your ID card is not expired.

  • Provide original copies of your ID and business registration documents, not photocopies or printed copies.

  • Make sure your ID and business registration documents are not laminated, covered in nylon, peeled, broken, or expired.

  • If you are registering on behalf of your organization, kindly ensure that the director(s)' details are correct, and prompt them to complete their registration as well.

  • Take a picture of your ID in a well-lit environment, ensuring the entire image and text are clear and legible.

  • Don’t use saved pictures of your ID and business registration documents; use your device’s camera to capture a new picture of the original ID or document.

  • Submit both the front and back of your ID when verifying your identification document.

  • Place your valid ID on a surface with a distinct color to enhance visibility.

  • For registered businesses, all business directors must complete a separate verification process. Each director will receive an email to complete their verification.
